Welcome to our school!!!

Our atmosphere is relaxed and encourages freedom of expression as a means to individual growth. We believe that children should be free to be children – to act, choose, explore, test, investigate, react, and experiment. Hence, children grow naturally in their new awareness of themselves, their relationships towards/with others, and with the world around them. We also value community and work to ensure interactions develop into friendships and a sense of family. We strive to provide an environment that recognizes each child's uniqueness and inherit curiosity, as well as a love of learning.

About Us

We opened the school in May 2012 as a daycare from which it has grown to a primary school. We are located in Kilifi with a capacity of 20 students per class. Our classes include Playgroup(Kipepeo), PPI (Chui), PP2 (Simba) and Primary (grade 1-4) and we are moving steadily each year to a higher class. We welcome children from all cultures, backgrounds, races and religions. We are here to make your child's stay a memorable one!

Curriculum and Activities

We offer the Competency Based Curriculum. The day is divided into several activities, each planned to stimulate and develop the child's interests. We do not just focus on academic skills, other activities such as cookery, art, PE and swimming are part of the school curriculum. The students also go on educational and fun trips to various places of interest.

Our Philosophy

A unique child : Every child is a competent learner from birth who can be capable, confident and self-assured.
Positive relationships : Children learn to be strong and independent from a base of loving and secure relationships with parents, teachers, caregivers and other children.
Enabling environment: The environment plays a key role in supporting and extending children’s development and learning.
Learning and Development: Children learn and develop in different ways and at different rates. All areas of learning and development are equally important and interconnected.

Mission Statement

Bright Beginnings Preparatory recognises that each child is an individual, that all children are creative, that all children need to succeed. We therefore respect their individual needs and foster a caring and creative environment; emphasising the social, emotional, physical, intellectual and moral development of a child.

To develop learners with creative and active minds. To ensure the development of each child: socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually and morally.
